When children are victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment the Lycoming Children and Youth Services is there to help them. They investigate reports for child protection so that any caregivers can be held accountable in an effort toward maintaining family unity whenever possible . The service also provides supportive services whichll continue after reunification has occurred - this means permanent placement as opposed from foster care because those who experienceÂ abuse often need more time before being able return home again
