The Little People Growing Smart Keyboard is an educational toy designed for use by children ages two to five years of age with cognitive, neurological, or fine motor disabilities. This musical keyboard teaches letters, colors, numbers, and music using S.M.A.R.T. Chip technology. Guided by Fisher-Price Little People's Eddie, children are encouraged to learn to play such familiar songs as "Old MacDonald," "Mary Had a Little Lamb," and others; the songs may be played by note, by color, or by following the blinking lights. Children are taught to find songs, play them, and associate them with objects. The keyboard teaches and tests learning in multiple categories, including note, color, and song quiz. Lights indicate the current category and quiz level to enable the children to see how they are progressing; the questions become more difficult as the child progresses. The keyboard offers almost 250 teaching, questioning, and encouraging phrases. The unit features a built-in carrying handle. POWER: Uses three double-A batteries (included). An auto shut-off feature turns the unit off after five seconds of non use to preserve battery life.
